It is very important that we have knowledge about the elements that are part or make up a company, since in this way we can manage its operation and productivity more effectively.

Let’s evaluate these points and take a step forward in our company:

  1. The human component. There is no doubt that man is the key factor in any company. In it, we can distinguish:
  • The owners or shareholders of the organization: They are those who have contributed the capital of the organizations. Their role is different in small and giant organizations. In monumental ones, shareholders only contribute money and in return expect to receive benefits. In the small ones, the owners, in addition to placing the money, usually carry the entire address.
  • Managers: They make the company’s choices. In monumental organizations they receive a salary in exchange for this functionality, and have the possibility of being fired if they do not do their job well. In small companies, managers tend to be the owners.
  • The workers: They are the delegates to carry all the production in exchange for a salary. We live in a society of understanding, and there is no doubt that workers and managers are key resources of any company.

  1. Material resources: They are the tangible resources of a company. We distinguish:
  • Non-current capital: It is related to the permanent resources that will be in the company for a long time and that allow the organization to carry out its activity: facilities, machines, computer sets, furniture, etc.
  • Current capital: These are the variable resources of the organization that remain in constant displacement: raw materials, cash in cash or in banks.

  1. Intangible resources: They are intangible resources that are not so observable at first glance but that have great importance for the organization. We distinguish:
  • The organization: It suggests each of the interrelationships between human and material resources. That is, what are the functionalities and responsibilities of the workers, who commands whom (hierarchy) or how do people communicate and relate to others
  • Culture: They are all the values and beliefs of an organization that mark what will be the behavioral guidelines of the members of the company. In this way, this culture is an elementary guide when making choices.
  • The image: It is the way in which the outer planet sees the organization. We refer to not only the name of the brand or the logo, but also the motto of the organization and all kinds of visual points, such as the colors of the company or the way employees act or dress.

  1. The environment: It is everything that surrounds the organization and therefore harms it. We refer to its consumers, its participants, the regulation ordered by the State and so on.
